The chicken wings of mass destruction.

So it seems (as I have been informed by my sister and Cromsie) that next Tuesday marks the one-year anniversary to when our house was gutted by fire. Can't believe I forgot.

I think we all still carry some guilt for that day. All of us for agreeing that deep frying in a pot on the stove sounded like a good idea (HA!) Croms, obviously, as she was cooking. Nicky for suggesting chicken wings and me for not saying "FUCK YOU GUYS! I HATE CHICKEN WINGS"

Yup, if I had a little more backbone, we'd may have had a little less flamage.

Anyhoo, we're gonna commemorate the occasion by going for Pizza and chicken wings. The wings to symbolize the thing that started it all, and pizza to symbolize what we should have had for dinner that night.

In other news, I have one more section of my stats paper, then one paper after that. It's almost over.

Oh yeah, and I think I believe in love at first sight now. Or at the very least, lust.

people suck balls. part 3

I had to take my pics of the girls down from here [MySpace] because some guy in the L&R forum made a comment and incorporate Tee's pic into it. It wasn't horribly creepy, just mildly insulting, but still, it's my fucking kid.

Say whatever you want about me, but leave my children out of it. I reported the guy to the mods, hopefully they will delete that thread, and his profile. I also checked the tags to make the image link didn't come from something like Photobucket or that shit.

Assignment crunch time. the stress caffeine and lack of sleep have been getting to me. I'm fucking wired.

Andie Howe... Tribute band groupie extrordinaire.

Whew. Good times, good times.

Went down to Stroud tonight for a Guns 'N' Roses tribute (Gunz N FN Rozez). These guys know their shit. Many thanks, Joe, for the invite and dinner. It was an awesome show, probably the closest to real GNR that I will ever see. (BTW.. I don't consider the current incarnation to be "real" Guns N Roses. GNR in it's current form is nothing more than Axl and some out of work musicians). Had the sound, had the look DOWN PAT (The singer must have done a half dozen costume changes, each one of them classic Axl.

During the encore I got to molest the little cutie playing lead guitar. Mini-Slash, I will call him. Can't remember the name at this point. Later when Joe went to get an autograph for the guy who gave him the tickets because he had been unable to make it, I got to flirt heavily with said cute guitarist and gave him my number. LOL What's worse than a regular groupie? A TRIBUTE BAND GROUPIE!! LOLLOLOL (that and the guy getting the tribute band's autographs, right Joe?)

Forgot to put my area code with my number. D'oh!

Anyhow, good show, good times.  Check them out.

Just hook it to my veins

Wow. I remember now why I never buy Cheez Whiz. That stuff is like CRACK! I'm frigging addicted to it.

No need for a title

Went for yet another blood test today and got some good news, I no longer need the Inohep injections, and I *think* that means that I have weekly blood tests instead of daily ones. It will be nice not to look like some kind of mad junkie anymore, what with the tracked up arms from all the blood tests and the massive bruising on the belly from the anticoagulant injections.

Finally got out to Shanana's on Saturday for Nicky and Cromsie's Birthday. It's about time, I have been such a hermit this semester that I am sure it has been at least three months since I have been there.

Licking whipped cream off hot bouncer = good times, good times.

Took the chitlins to the Fun Stop today. We got fake tattoos with the tickets we won. Dora the Explorer for the girls, and Spongebob for mom. That's right I am freaking HARDCORE! Somehow I have the sneaking suspicion that this won't be the last time the girls and I get tattoos together... I had a weird vision into the future of us when they are like 16 and 18, doing the same thing. Nah, they won't ask me, they'll just get their dad to do it.

Plans for Fitzy's on wed with Dan and Sam and possibly Sammi and Anthony, who else is in??

Somewhere, the Minister of Health's head is exploding.

I went back to HDH today. I have a blood clot in my right leg. Which means anticoagulants on top of all the other meds I am on, possibly indefinitely. The Minister of Health is probably having a hit put out on me as we speak, in an effort to reduce the drain on the health care system I present.

On the mend

Well, if anyone has noticed I have not been around so much, that's because I just spent a fun-filled week at HDH (that being the local hospital) dealing with some of my usual health issues that pop up from now and then (none contagious, and none what you would call "social" in origin :-P)

I'm home now and quite happy to be, and pretty stoked that next week is reading week, so I have a little extra time to recoup, as well as to write the paper that was due last week, just a day or two after my admittance. Have missed everyone and hope all is well.

The good part was missing the crushing annual deflation of the spirits known as Valentines day, although I did receive some nice Val's/Get well flowers from some friends as well a giant nine-inch spike. For the iron deficiency, dontcha know. I laughed my ass off.

So I am off to chill and watch a movie, my girls come home tomorrow and I have missed them so much, I am just glad I can count on their dad and his GF to take good care of them.

Anyway, thats mine and me as of late.

Well what's the Bad news then?

"Don't Worry, It's Not Cancer."

I imagine these are pretty fantastic words to hear if you been waiting for an answer on something health-related.

But shit, when it comes out of the blue, it's pretty fucking disconcerting...

"Well there was an abnormality, but DON'T WORRY, IT'S NOT CANCER." Who the FUCK mentioned CANCER? I didn't. Like HOLY FUCK.

People SUCK balls. part 2.

Yup. Nothing like harassment from your ex's ex and her bratty kid. This is turning out to be a banner fucking week.

People SUCK balls.

Note to folks everywhere:

It is in REALLY bad form to badmouth a colleague to a higher-up when said colleague is not present to defend herself. That includes university professors.

Those that do need to contract a nasty case of chlamydia.
