No need for a title

Went for yet another blood test today and got some good news, I no longer need the Inohep injections, and I *think* that means that I have weekly blood tests instead of daily ones. It will be nice not to look like some kind of mad junkie anymore, what with the tracked up arms from all the blood tests and the massive bruising on the belly from the anticoagulant injections.

Finally got out to Shanana's on Saturday for Nicky and Cromsie's Birthday. It's about time, I have been such a hermit this semester that I am sure it has been at least three months since I have been there.

Licking whipped cream off hot bouncer = good times, good times.

Took the chitlins to the Fun Stop today. We got fake tattoos with the tickets we won. Dora the Explorer for the girls, and Spongebob for mom. That's right I am freaking HARDCORE! Somehow I have the sneaking suspicion that this won't be the last time the girls and I get tattoos together... I had a weird vision into the future of us when they are like 16 and 18, doing the same thing. Nah, they won't ask me, they'll just get their dad to do it.

Plans for Fitzy's on wed with Dan and Sam and possibly Sammi and Anthony, who else is in??

Somewhere, the Minister of Health's head is exploding.

I went back to HDH today. I have a blood clot in my right leg. Which means anticoagulants on top of all the other meds I am on, possibly indefinitely. The Minister of Health is probably having a hit put out on me as we speak, in an effort to reduce the drain on the health care system I present.

On the mend

Well, if anyone has noticed I have not been around so much, that's because I just spent a fun-filled week at HDH (that being the local hospital) dealing with some of my usual health issues that pop up from now and then (none contagious, and none what you would call "social" in origin :-P)

I'm home now and quite happy to be, and pretty stoked that next week is reading week, so I have a little extra time to recoup, as well as to write the paper that was due last week, just a day or two after my admittance. Have missed everyone and hope all is well.

The good part was missing the crushing annual deflation of the spirits known as Valentines day, although I did receive some nice Val's/Get well flowers from some friends as well a giant nine-inch spike. For the iron deficiency, dontcha know. I laughed my ass off.

So I am off to chill and watch a movie, my girls come home tomorrow and I have missed them so much, I am just glad I can count on their dad and his GF to take good care of them.

Anyway, thats mine and me as of late.

Well what's the Bad news then?

"Don't Worry, It's Not Cancer."

I imagine these are pretty fantastic words to hear if you been waiting for an answer on something health-related.

But shit, when it comes out of the blue, it's pretty fucking disconcerting...

"Well there was an abnormality, but DON'T WORRY, IT'S NOT CANCER." Who the FUCK mentioned CANCER? I didn't. Like HOLY FUCK.

People SUCK balls. part 2.

Yup. Nothing like harassment from your ex's ex and her bratty kid. This is turning out to be a banner fucking week.

People SUCK balls.

Note to folks everywhere:

It is in REALLY bad form to badmouth a colleague to a higher-up when said colleague is not present to defend herself. That includes university professors.

Those that do need to contract a nasty case of chlamydia.

5 most memorable bar nights...

These are in no particular order, just the five most memorable bar nights I recall

1) 55 Special and Fitzy's with Sam, Richard and the folks from stats. Nothing like getting kicked out of bars, fending off gropers and kissing random guys to celebrate your last exam.

2) Bar in Kitchener whose name escapes me... The night of the Nickelback concert with Mitch when she threw her drink on the little shitbag in the minidress

3) Shanana's with Jenny. The night of a dozen past mistakes. Ever been in a bar and it seems like every guy you have been involved with shows up.. within a half hour of each other?

4) Shanana's with Cromsie and Michelle and various others... The night of the Pink Fuzzy Thong. God you meet all kinds in Midland.

5) Shanana's with Cromsie (again). The night of the Noco guy. This night was just cool cause I got hit on by some really hot young guy. Sweet.

Therapy?

Well, I did something pretty therapeutic today. Been a little depressed lately, may have something to do with the time of year, since this week marks three years since my marriage crashed and burned. It still gets to me. Its getting better though. My anniversary passed last September with me barely noticing.

ANYWAY. I got rid of the engagement ring and the wedding band. Yup, sold 'em. Price be damned. Decided I didn't care what I got for it. So off to the Hock Shop I go, got a crappy price (of course) then decided I would buy myself something nice, something just for me, to celebrate my emancipation from another reminder of a difficult period in my life.

But what to get? I thought it should be extra special. I was going to get another tattoo but my cheap side won out, since I can get one cheap (well free, actually) and I didn't have the pattern I wanted with me. So I looked, and I saw something I have wanted for about 2 years now.

A Corset!

Its beautiful, and so symbolic for me. I wanted something just for me, to remind me that yes, I AM a SEXY BITCH!

So, yeah... thats my news for today.

Jury Duty WTF???

I got nailed for jury selection for the 23rd of January. For 8:30 in the frigging morning. Not only on a day when I have to go to school, but on ELECTION frigging day of all days. Friggidy crap. On top of it all, I have to get my kid to school at nine yet be at the courthouse 40 minutes away at 8:30.

So I have to attend jury selection AND vote and go to school so I can be a more useful member of society AND be a good parent and get my kid to school. What more could my government ask of me?

I'm Axl Fucking Rose.

It could catch on. It could be the next "I'm Rick James, Bitch"

OR

It could just be one of those drunk/high jokes that dies pretty quick but was Ass-funny at the time.

Can't tell me the guy wasn't pretty hot before the bad hair extensions and the Botox.

Come to think of it... I think he might be trying to turn himself into Rick James... interesting.
